Growing up, My siblings and I were quite unconventional, we were never those kids who sit and watch Cinderella, Mr Bin and the rest. We saw movies that didn't fit our age description and it made us learn and know things our peer group didn't know. People that know me, know I don't just see any movie before I see any movie, I check for the actors and storyline. Enough said, here are the movies I saw growing up.
Not Without My Daughter: Based on a true story, Drama a d Thriller. An American woman married to an Iranian man with a daughter. He convinced her to go home with him to Iran for two weeks to meet his family and when they got to Iran, he said they were not going back to America. She had to escape but, not without her daughter.
Quo Vadis: A drama, documentary, Romance, Faith and Spiritual movie. A Roman soldier fell in love with a Christian girl, at that time Emperor Nero was planning to wipe out Christianity and burn Rome to the ground and build it again. I saw this movie more than 100 times growing up
Camouflage: Nigerian movie about female students in the university, They party every weekend, go out with top men for money and gifts, a new girl joined them in school a rich spoilt girl who was the daughter of one of the senators they party with, It didn't turn out well for them. It is an interesting movie, I still got it on my laptop.
Lost Kingdom: A Nigerian movie about a power hungry man who wanted to be king of a village, he went as far as killing, bribing and, stole the staff of power. He ruled with force and the gods of the land punished him. This is one classic Nollywood movie part one and two π
Who Will Love My Children: Based on a true story, a dying mother of ten, dying of breast cancer had to search for loving parents for all her kids before, she died because she knew her husband can't do it alone. It is a very emotional movie with lessons to learn from.
Shaka Zulu: A story of a great South African King from the Zulu tribe, as a child he and his mother Nandi were mistreated by his father the king of Zulu, a guard from the palaces gave them information about the king planning to kill Shaka so, they had to escape. Shaka grows up hating his father after the death of his father, Shaka came to take his rightful position as the King of Zulu people. I enjoyed this movie I still do, I cried the first time I saw it π
Treasure Island: Like we know, there are several Treasure Island movies from different years, but I saw the one from 1972. Based on a novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, it is about a little boy who leaves with his Mother one day a drunk old came to there home for a drink showed the little boy a map that leads to a treasure and he died, a pirate came looking for the dead man and took the little boy with his crew on a ship for the treasure. I remember the boy smart and fearless, I remember one line from the movie "Dead men don't bite" I want to see this movie again to refresh my memory on it.
Odyssey: The warrior king of Ithaca helps fight a war in Troy won the battle, on his return back home to his family and kingdom, it took him years because he angered the god Poseidon. Back home he was assumed dead and should be forgotten a group of unruly suitors came for his wife and son, but she rejected them because she knew her husband was alive somewhere. Odysseus had to overcome so many obstacles and with the help of his protectress goddess Athena, he got home. Great movie...
Set It Off: A story about four friends who worked as janitors got tired of being broke so, they decided to rob a bank. They did it successfully twice the third time wasn't like the other times they got caught, chased, shot and killed one survived. The end made me cry π still does.
Boyz N The Hood: Greatest black movie of all time, a ten-year-old boy moved in with his father after he gets into a fight at school, his Mum worried about his future sent him to his Dad for him to learn more from his father. In the neighborhood, he got friends they reunited, grew up together he was looking forward to going to college with his close friend but due to the gangster war going in the streets, he lost his friend from a drive-by shooting. It was sad, but I saw this movie thousands of times and I still enjoy seeing it π
Sango: A Yoruba epic story about the Great King of Oyo Kingdom, how he ruled his people when he gets angry, thunder and lightning occur his wife Oya was the only one that could calm him down. Oya is a goddess of Wind, Rain, Death and, Rebirth. Sango is one of the powerful rulers of Yoruba land. It is was made 1998, well made movie π
Sarafina: A musical, drama about young South African students, fighting against discrimination of black people in Soweto. Lives were lost, the musical scenes and dance moves are exciting I still remember the songs πππ
Home Alone: My movie forever π I see Home Alone every year it feels like the first time it gets funny the more I see it. π
Problem Child: About the troubleshooter orphan, transferred from one home to another and to the orphanage and finally got love despite his mischief. It got to a point my dad had to stop us from seeing it for a while π
Kidsongs: A musical series of kids singing the nursery rhymes, while going on adventures and engaged in different activities back then, my Parents sing along with us π they still remember some at times my Dad whistle some tunes π
Lion King: The greatest animation of all time great story, songs, and great feel sing along π I cried when Simba called out for help seeing his father lifeless. Looking forward to seeing the remade version July 2019 π
The listed movies above were seen back then with video home system VHS π

Acne comes with marks on the face and discomfort. It affects mood and self-confidence. I have had pimples in the past, I know they don't go away quickly some deep acne bumps can even lead to permanent scarring if left untreated. I personally don't take facial treatment for granted so, here is my favorite facial care.
